Books
We have a lot of books in the collection that deal with a number of different issues related to pollution. Try using combinations of words like pollution, air, water, quality, environment, etc. For example:

If your first search brings up too many irrelevant items, try using the Refine by Topic suggestions in the box on the left of the search results screen.

Encyclopedia of World Environmental History by Call Number: Reference GE10 .E63 2004 v. 1-3An easy-to-read reference book with extensive articles on topics like Air Pollution and Water Pollution. Each includes suggestions for further reading.

Freshwater Issues: A Reference Handbook by Call Number: Reference TD345 .S65 2002You'll find discussion of water supplies and rights, a history of U.S. water policy, statistics, and more.
OECD Environmental Outlook to 2030Call Number: Reference HC79.E5 O325 2008Examines the projected impact of important environmental trends by 2030. Includes chapters on Air Pollution and Freshwater.

- Environmental Protection AgencyGovernment information on pollution and water quality issues and the laws and regulations that govern them. Look for topics like the Clean Air Research Program, Water Science, Water Pollution and more.
- National Geospatial Program: Small-Scale DataA subset of data from The National Map (TNM).
- Great Lakes Information NetworkA lot of information about the Great Lakes, including maps and GIS resources. There is a page dedicated to environmental concerns. Look to the left of the page for particular topics, such as air and water quality.
- Pollution at the Encyclopedia of EarthA list of encyclopedia articles on pollution written by experts. Look for topics like Brownfield Regeneration and Mercury in the Great Lakes.
