Finding Secondary Sources

Historical research involves using several different kinds of sources:

  • Primary Sources, which are original documents.
  • Secondary Sources, such as scholarly books and journal articles that have been written by historians.

The General Search is where you will find our print and e-book collections, and it also searches many of our journal article databases such as JSTOR as well.

For more journal articles, consider using Academic Search Premier, which covers a wide range of subject matter.
