- Minnesota State RegisterThe official record of the state, the Register contains proposed and adopted rules, official notices, contracts, and state grants and loans. The archive goes back to 2007.

The Book of the StatesCall Number: Reference JK2403 .B6 2009A good reference source for information on state governments, covering current issues, programs, and policies.
When searching for books on states of the U.S., try adding the state's name to a topic. Or, use "State Governments" to look at issues encompassing the whole country. For example:

State and Metropolitan Area Data BookCall Number: Reference HA202 .S84 2006A supplement to the Statistical Abstract, this focuses on statistics on the states and metropolitan areas of the United States. Look here, for example, for Physicians, Community Hospitals, Medicare, Social Security, and SSI data listed by major metropolitan area. You can view the 1997-1998 edition for free online.
