Encyclopedia of Business and Finance by Call Number: Reference HF1001 .E466 2007 v. 1–2The new edition of this compendium of knowledge includes entries on technology in business (e.g. "Cyber Crime") as well as an emphasis on ethics — all in non-technical language. Many entries include bibliographies.

Thousands of company histories and industry essays as well as case studies, scholarly journals, and business news coverage of global economies.
- Business Source Premier This link opens in a new windowBusiness Source Premier contains 2,150 journals back to 1986. Many journals are full text, as are market, country, and industry reports. It also contains SWOT analysis.
- Harvard Business Review (HBR) This link opens in a new windowThe Harvard Business Review (HBR) is a general management magazine published by Harvard Business Publishing, owned by Harvard University. HBR is published six times a year. Its articles focus on topics including leadership, organizational change, negotiation, strategy, operations, marketing, finance, and managing people.

It is a very useful source for marketing information and doing company and industry comparisons. The data available includes historical stock prices, S.E.C. filings, ratios, prospects, etc. All data can be downloaded.
- Sage Data This link opens in a new windowDemographics Sales Data Combine and compare statistical data from a variety of sources. The Ready Reference site is a good place to start.
- Performance & Accountability Report byCall Number: Use it online!U.S. government reports from 1998 to now provide insights into small business. Since 2007, the agency has published three reports a year: a financial report, a performance report, and the "Citizens’ Report."
