Step 1 - Sign, Scan, and Submit the Consent and Release Form
You will need to log in with your Augorah Account to follow these steps.
Please contact vanclev1@augsburg.edu to set up your account.
Please have your participant read, sign, and date this Oral History Consent and Release form. This form must be submitted as a .pdf, and it must have all pages of the document together in one .pdf file. Note: This form will not be visible to the public, but you must still submit it to the system. Your oral history will not be added to the system, and staff may reject your submission, if you have not submitted this form.
After you have logged into Augorah, click on the link below and follow these steps:

When you see "Select a Content Model to Ingest," select Upload a PDF, then click Next

In the next window, select - Augsburg Community Submissions - Consent and Release Form (PDF), then click Next

Enter the information in the form, following the instructions below each form field, then click Next

Drag your signed, scanned PDF of the Consent and Release form into the box that says Drag Files Here. You can also click + Add Files and navigate to the file, then select Open

You then need to click
and wait until the file has uploaded.

Once the file has uploaded, click Ingest. Be sure to wait until you see the next screen! This will deliver the file to Augorah.
Step 2 - Submit an .mp3 of Your Recording
After you have uploaded your signed and scanned consent and release form, you will need to upload the recording of your oral history as an .mp3 file. Click here to see our equipment guides, including the guide on Audacity, to learn how to use equipment to create an .mp3.
Once you have the MP3 file on your computer, click on the link below and follow these steps:

When you see "Select a Content Model to Ingest," select Upload an Audio File (.mp3), then click Next

Enter the information in the form, following the instructions below each form field, then click Next

Drag your MP3 file into the box that says Drag Files Here. You can also click + Add Files and navigate to the file, then select Open

You then need to click
and wait until the file has uploaded.

Once the file has uploaded, click Ingest. This will deliver the file to Augorah.
Step 3 - Submit the .pdf of Your Interview Transcript
If your participant requests to review the transcript, it is your responsibility to ensure that they review it before you submit it to Augorah.
After you have submitted the Consent & Release form and your .mp3, you will need to upload the .pdf transcript of your interview. Click here to see the equipment guide's section on otter.ai, which will help you generate, edit, and export the .pdf of your interview transcript.
Once you have the .pdf of your interview transcript, click on the link below and follow these steps:

When you see "Select a Content Model to Ingest," select Upload a PDF, then click Next

In the next window, select - Augsburg Community Submissions - Submit Audio (.mp3) or transcript (PDF), then click Next

Enter the information in the form, following the instructions below each form field, then click Next

Drag your PDF file into the box that says Drag Files Here. You can also click + Add Files and navigate to the file, then select Open

You then need to click
and wait until the file has uploaded.

Once the file has uploaded, click Ingest. This will deliver the file to Augorah.
