Historyapolis Project

Historyapolis is an ongoing project supported by the Augsburg History Department. Since 2014, student, faculty, and community researchers have worked together to research and share the history of Minneapolis. Historyapolis supports:

  • local history guide that is an excellent resource that outlines what's available in archives and special collections across the city.
  • Map Monday series that highlights maps in collaboration with the Borchert Map Library
  • The Mapping Prejudice project, which documents racial restrictions attached to Minneapolis property records during the 20th century.
  • A stories section that highlights lesser-known parts of the city's history.
