Collaborative & Quiet Spaces

Group of students talking at a table

This first set of maps highlight spaces in Lindell Library to suit your sound preferences. You will find quiet spaces, private study rooms, best bests for collaborative working areas, and average volume levels throughout the building.

Librarian Recommendations:

  • Looking for a quiet place to study?  Head to the bottom level, the only quiet floor in the building.
  • Need some privacy for studying or an online appointment?  Use a study room on the third floor.
  • Working on a group project where you can spread out and use a white board on wheels?  Check out the first floor.

This second set of maps highlight spaces in Lindell to suit your lighting preferences.  Discover areas in the library with natural light (sunshine) and where you can control the lighting.

Librarian Recommendations:

  • If you are looking for an area with low lighting and lamps, check out the bottom level of the library.
  • You can find sunshine on any floor, except for the bottom level, but if you want to feel like you're studying in the trees, go to the top floor.
