Finding Sources in Spanish

There are different ways to search for sources at the library. Start with a General Search to search our catalog.

If you're looking for scholarly journal articles, consider using one of our specialized databases below for better results.

Search Tips

Here are some examples of basic search terms you can use:

To find strong search terms related to your specific topic, try the following:

Find Spanish-language articles by limiting your search to Language: Spanish.

Can't find full text?

Click the Find It! button by the article to get it elsewhere, or to order it.

Journal Databases

Journal databases are specialized tools for finding scholarly articles in academic journals, with advanced options for targeting your search on a specific topic.

If they seem a little intimidating, remember that the librarians are happy to show you how to use them to find the best sources as fast as possible.

Google Scholar

Google Scholar is a subset of Google that searches specifically for academic and scholarly articles and books online.

  • Search for sources in Spanish by changing the settings in the upper right corner.
  • If you are on campus, the far right-hand side of the results will show which resources we have. If we don't have them, you can order them through Interlibrary Loan.
