Set Up Choice Reviews Online
This guide is to help faculty members keep up with newly published academic books in their field -- and share what they find with Lindell Library.
Choice Reviews Online is a way to keep up with recently published books and other resources in a particular academic field. It is created and maintained by the American Library Association.
Augsburg's paid subscription to this tool means that faculty members can find and recommend books to purchase for the library collection. Following their instructions, you create a free Choice account. Then you can set up custom email alerts, and mark individual titles to email to your library liaison for consideration.
To get started, first make sure you are on campus and logged into AugNet. (Once you've created your account, you can use it off campus too.) Then go to Choice Reviews Online and click the "Login" link.
Create a Username and Password
Click Create Account. Then enter in the requested information, including your username (which doesn't have to be your Augsburg e-mail) and password.
Make sure AUGSBURG COLLEGE (or UNIVERSITY) appears at the bottom, then click Create Account.
Once you are logged in, the Choice navigation bar will change to show your name. You can manage your account using the My Info links under that name.
